An interview with a physiotherapist about her experience with PRAVILO MOBILO.
Gabika, you have been using a special, and so far relatively unknown, device in your clinic for some time. Tell us something about it.
I have been using PRAVILO MOBILO in my professional practice since 2024. It helps me significantly in improving the mobility and flexibility of the body. During work with a client, it saves me time and energy by replacing complex positions and movements. For me, it is a shortcut to the expected results of a client's therapy.
Who visits your clinic?
About 90% of my clientele are people who primarily have spinal problems. These include faulty posture (CHDT) and weak posture with insufficient strength or activation of the erector spinae muscles within the posture. Clients with VAS - vertebrogenic algic syndrome - painful conditions of the cervical and thoracic spine. Often, it involves stiffness of the thoracic spine and resulting chain changes in body posture. This is followed by anteversion (protraction) of the shoulders and their stiffness, especially in extension (pulling back) and elevation (raising).
Lumbago - painful conditions of the lumbar spine. Furthermore, lumboischadic syndrome (LIS) - painful conditions of the lumbar spine (lower back) radiating into the lower limb. These are often related to overloading the paravertebral muscles, which are subsequently under increased tension.
A large group consists of clients with degenerative disc changes, whether it’s a bulging disc, protrusion, prolapse, or disc herniation. Patients after spinal surgeries, such as hemilaminectomy (partial disc removal), are also indicated.
Scoliosis is a major topic for me. Scoliotic posture is only a functional disorder, not fixed. We only talk about scoliosis when rotation of the vertebrae is verified on an X-ray and a Cobb angle is described. Children as young as 7–8 years old frequently come to me with this problem.
Therapy standardly begins with warming up the body; in the main part, I focus on the rehabilitative goal. Based on the initial diagnosis of the musculoskeletal system, I address the identified deficit. We release shortened muscles, strengthen weakened ones, and correct movement stereotypes using rehabilitative techniques and methods.
Towards the end of the therapy, we incorporate the use of PRAVILO MOBILO. I choose the exercise variant individually. For a rigid (stiff) chest and shoulders, I first choose to work only with the upper body in standing and kneeling positions. Here, I work on releasing the anterior line (mainly the pectoralis major). This procedure brings benefits to the exercise on PRAVILO MOBILO, where the whole body is already involved. The body moves beautifully in three dimensions. This fact is a great benefit because our body is also structured three-dimensionally, which is why therapy on Pravilo is so effective. 3D exercise and expansion from the center of the body to the extremities + possible strength training in these natural patterns.
Do you work on Pravilo with children too?
Children with scoliosis, faulty posture, and flat feet are a big topic for me on PRAVILO MOBILO. This technique brings joy and relaxation to the therapy. That is a big plus, especially for a child client. Keeping a child's attention is not always easy. Because PRAVILO MOBILO is so variable, it is always a big attraction and experience for children. It often happens that we start by swinging on the rings. I teach them things we used to learn ourselves in the yard as kids. Today's generation is different, though.
After finishing the exercise on Pravilo, 7 to 10 minutes of relaxation follows while lying on the back. I consider this part very necessary. The body calms down. Processes fade out, and the body returns to gravity. It is a time to perceive everything in peace.

Can PRAVILO MOBILO be used after a joint replacement?
Certainly, yes. For more than 10 years, I have been working with a client named Vanda. At age 12, she began having problems with her hip joint. She had a congenital developmental defect. At age 15, she underwent surgery for hip joint fixation - screws were inserted into the femur and pelvis. Her hip joint was thus immobilized for 15 long years. In her 30s, she underwent a hip replacement. She has been my patient ever since.
After the surgery, Vanda has one lower limb 2 cm shorter. Additionally, during the procedure, paresis of the n. tibialis anterior occurred. Due to the immobilization of the hip joint, significant muscle atrophy occurred. We have been trying to fine-tune this for more than 10 years.
Exercising on Pravilo in the so-called "bat" position to offload the healthy lower limb is very beneficial for her. Axial traction of the hip brings her incredible relief. Exercise in suspension for all four limbs brings her relief, especially for the lower back and right shoulder. She carries a walking stick in her right hand (upper limb).
I also consider pre-operative physiotherapeutic preparation very beneficial for patients with coxarthrosis or gonarthrosis. Since the limitation of the range of motion leads to changes in soft structures, PRAVILO MOBILO is very beneficial for these clients. It opens the joint space and releases tension in the surrounding structures. The effect is immediate. Relief from pain.
Who do you not hang there?
Contraindications for exercise on Pravilo for me are feverish states and epilepsy. Post-operative spinal conditions where fixation with plates and screws is already in place. Some neurological diseases, such as polyradiculoneuropathy, Guillain-Barré syndrome. Generally, where muscle tension is significantly reduced. Generalized hypermobility requires a special approach on Pravilo. There, I deal more with strengthening in natural chains.
